Saturday Day
I had a chance and took it. We all get opportunities pass our way. Some are of interest and some we hardly recognize. Mine was of great interest so I jumped at it and was glad I did. My family lives in another town and we see each other occasionly. I was invited to visit them while they were on a road trip. I drove to meet them and we spent some time together. Of course, pictures were taken , conversation was held, and although we didn't solve world problems, we enjoyed one another for a few hours before we went our separate ways. I have been blessed by God throughout my life in many ways. The time I get to be with Family is a great blessing in itself.

Neighborhood Watch
This is a True Story. These events occurred Wed, April 6, 2011
Early this morning,( 4 am ) as I was setting out my trash can,
I thought about what a good day was coming this way.
The air was cool, the neighborhood was quiet, and there was
real sense of calm.
I stood in my driveway, leaned against my car, and just enjoyed it
for a few minutes. I started to get an uneasy sense that I wasn't
alone. There were no sounds of car engines, or doors opening, or
voices, but I could tell something was not quite right. I saw no
one, but thought I was being watched.
I decided to go back in the house and as I turned towards the
door I saw something in a neighbors front window. Sitting in
the sill, between the curtain and the glass, was their family cat.
I wondered if it was watching me the entire time. Mystery solved.
So I waved as I went inside my house and considered updating
the "hobbies or special skills" section on my resume to
include Cat Entertainer.
Cats are amazing creatures that observe so much, but say so
little. I think that their point of view on life would make
interesting reading. Unfortunately, they absolutely refuse to
write anything down using a keyboard, they seem to prefer the mouse.

....Spring is here...
.....it must be April... the sounds of lawnmower engines were heard in my neighborhood this weekend...followed soon after by the scent of fresh cut Bermuda / Rye blend, an occasional Fescue and the ever popular Kentucky Blue.....Then of course, the watery eyes and the sneezing.....ah Spring...the welcome season that shakes off the short days and long nights of Winter...brings new growth and new plans... increased visits to the local garden center....searching for the just right shade of flowers to look great but still be affordable (and low maintenance)....more scent of fertilizer, soil conditioners and consideration of buying new tools or some amazing gizmo to make it all seem easier. Yes, spring. Ah-Choo.
